Form & Future is a journal for new designers, an event series for independent makers. We believe in every person's creative potential, and encourage you to pursue your passions–from writing, to design, to making chocolate.

We interview people who feel a spark inside, and decide to pursue their dreams. Independent makers, movers, and shakers all have one thing in common: they do not quit when things get tough. The people we interview are forming their own paths, and making things from scratch. They're designing their lives from scratch.

What's the secret ingredient? We're on a mission to discover it.

Who Makes Form & Future?

Form & Future was founded by Laura Helen Winn, a designer in San Francisco, to inspire beginners to pursue their passions wholeheartedly. Seeking mentorship is integral to Laura’s creative practice, and she saw an opportunity to foster a community of encouragement and knowledge-sharing. Her endeavor gives rookies the opportunity to ask questions, and makers a moment to reflect on their craft. She feels incredibly lucky that she chats with smart, interesting people regularly.
