Right now, the keys to the kingdom are being handed to the storytellers, the designers, the creatives. That's so powerful.

Design has power, and we have a responsibility as designers to use that ethically. Do what you can where you can, even if it's just in the everyday way you live your life. 

Design doesn't exist unless there's a problem to solve. Design solves problems, otherwise it's just art. 

 The most difficult part of design is equal parts expectation, and trying to keep things fresh.

Don't shy away from what you're into. You may be scared that they aren't the things you “should be” doing, but you may be surprised from seeing where your interests lead you.

Design is a question of building up the reputation you have to do the thing you want to do.

As designers, we can't solve all the problems in the world, but there are small things we can do.

 There are so many ways to learn, & I’d like to make it easier for those who want to.

 Act as though you are a decent human being, and be respectful to people.

Designers often have to see further into the future than the rest of the world.

 Only work with people you like. Really. Seriously. 

If you can't pick yourself up and move on from those failures, you'll never find success.
